Which country is known for the high-quality construction of homes?

Several commonalities emerge when contrasting the residential construction standards of various nations. European homes are significantly older and of higher quality than their American counterparts. In comparison, homes in the United States tend to be less than a century old. They also pale in comparison to the European cathedrals constructed in the 1300s. Even more so, the cost of a home in the United States pales compared to the price of a comparable home in Europe.
